Walmart and Sam’s Club Spark Good. Change Kids’ Health.

Campaign Kicks Off to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (June 9, 2025) –Walmart and Sam’s Club are set to launch their annual “Spark Good. Change Kids’ Health.” campaign, inviting customers and members to donate at registers, online, and through the Walmart app from June 9 to July 6. This vital fundraising effort directly supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) across the U.S. and Canada, ensuring local children’s hospitals have the resources needed to provide essential care.

For 38 years, Walmart and Sam’s Club have championed children’s health, a partnership founded on Sam Walton’s belief that “the associates will amaze you.” This enduring commitment continues to provide critical funds for millions of children every year, helping them receive necessary treatments and support right in their own communities.

“Every year, I am profoundly moved by the incredible dedication of Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers, and members to our mission,” said Aimee J. Daily, Ph.D., President & CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Their generosity directly empowers our local member children’s hospitals to tackle today’s most complex health challenges, ensuring children receive the essential care they deserve, no matter what life brings their way. These funds provide everything from critical treatments and innovative equipment to vital programs that support families through their most challenging moments, ultimately transforming children’s healthcare for generations to come.”

This year’s campaign highlights inspiring stories, including that of Gian. At just three years old, Gian faced a Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) diagnosis, a condition that progressively weakens muscles. Yet, with his family’s unwavering support, the specialized expertise of Gillette Children’s, and crucial funding from CMN Hospitals, Gian continues to overcome every challenge. Roberto, Gian’s father and a dedicated Walmart Market Manager, witnessed firsthand the exceptional care at Gillette Children’s. Thanks to CMN Hospitals’ critical funds, Gian receives vital treatments and therapies, empowering him to maintain his strength and independence with unwavering hospital support.

“At Walmart and Sam’s Club, our deep commitment to the communities we serve is reflected in our long-standing partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said Julie Gehrki, President, Walmart Foundation. “This campaign gives our associates a chance to connect with a cause that directly touches their neighborhoods. When customers and members donate at our registers, they’re not just giving – they’re supporting their local CMN Hospital and helping children and families right in their community. Together, we can spark good and change kids’ health for generations to come.”

Donations collected during the campaign ensure that children’s hospitals can meet their most urgent needs, from specialized treatments and groundbreaking research to mental and behavioral health services. Every dollar raised benefits local member hospitals, creating ripple effects that positively impact communities for years to come.

Walmart and Sam’s Club encourage everyone to participate by donating at checkout in stores and clubs, or online at Walmart.com and through the Walmart app. Every contribution, big or small, helps change kids’ health and change the future for millions of children.
