Michael Mischler and Barbara Nicklaus Appointed to CMN Hospitals Board of Trustees

SALT LAKE CITY (April 27, 2017) — Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a charity raising funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, recently named Michael Mischler and Barbara Nicklaus to its Board of Trustees.

Mischler recently retired from CBS Television Distribution as the executive vice president of marketing. While at CBS, Mischler oversaw all consumer, business to business and internet marketing of the division’s programming. As the former chair of CMN Hospitals’ Board of Governors from 2014 to 2016, Mischler focused on integrating partnerships to promote the cause of children’s hospitals through each member’s organization and throughout the business community.

“It’s been an honor to serve on CMN Hospitals’ Board of Governors, and now on its Board of Trustees,” said Mischler. “It’s a privilege to continue using my professional experience to help save kids’ lives and make a difference in communities across North America.”

Nicklaus, “The First Lady of Golf,” serves as chairman and co-founder of the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, together with her husband, Jack. In 2015, in recognition of the Foundation’s dedication to fund world-class pediatric healthcare, Miami Children’s Hospital, a member CMN Hospital, was renamed Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, along with a dozen outpatient facilities throughout South Florida.

“I am passionate about this cause,” Nicklaus explained. “I have always said that children are not miniature adults, and they need specialized care. Every child deserves the hope and healing only a children’s hospital can provide. Through CMN Hospitals, we can help children get the life-saving and life-improving care they deserve.”

In their new roles, Mischler and Nicklaus will join the rest of the Board to help support the fundraising, development and awareness functions of CMN Hospitals, promote the cause of children’s hospitals throughout the business community and help attract companies to support the organization’s mission of saving and improving kids’ lives.
