7-ELEVEN®, SPEEDWAY® AND STRIPES® STORES RAISE MORE THAN $18 MILLION FOR CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS® IN 2023

Funds Raised Will Help to Ensure Every Child Across the Communities 7-Eleven, Inc. Serves Has the Opportunity to Reach Their Full Potential

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (Jan. 30, 2024) — Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is pleased to share that 7-Eleven, Inc. raised more than $18 million in 2023 to support 106 local member children’s hospitals across the country. Thanks to the generosity of 7-Eleven®, Speedway®, and Stripes® stores customers, Franchisees, vendors and employees, funds raised will help advance pediatric healthcare and ensure every child in need throughout the retailer’s local communities receives the best possible care.

“As part of our commitment to building thriving communities, we are focused on ensuring that every child across the communities we serve has the opportunity to reach their full potential,” said Marissa Jarratt, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Sustainability Officer at 7-Eleven, Inc. “I could not be more proud of the partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – our fundraising efforts over the past year will allow the organization to continue to provide comfort, treatment and hope to millions of kids – and their families – each year. When we work to improve the health of all children, we also help to improve our communities for years to come.”

Funds raised by 7-Eleven, Inc. in 2023 will benefit each store’s local member hospital and directly help kids in their local community, kids like Nolan and Adeline

At the age of three, Nolan was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a form of cancer that develops in the eye, after his mom noticed something strange in his eye. Just two weeks later Nolan’s eye was removed, and subsequently went through six months of chemotherapy, ringing the bell to mark the end of treatment just before his fourth birthday. Donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals benefiting CHRISTUS Children’s in San Antonio helped fund innovative surgery and cancer care, all instrumental in Nolan’s treatment.

After experiencing frequent heart arrhythmias after she was born, Adeline’s doctors sent her to a specialist at Duke Children’s, a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Adeline was subsequently diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome, a potentially life-threatening condition. After receiving a therapeutic pacemaker at seven days old, Adeline is now a happy, energetic second grader, living life to the fullest thanks to donations that help her doctors study and better understand her condition.

These kids represent just two of the millions of young patients receiving life-saving care at local member hospitals thanks to fundraising efforts from 7-Eleven, Inc. In 2024, stores across the 7-Eleven family of brands will continue to invite customers to give back to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals with an in-store fundraising campaign in Speedway stores year-round, along with in-store fundraising campaigns in 7-Eleven and Stripes stores from June 26, 2024 – Aug. 27, 2024 and Oct. 30, 2024 – Jan. 7, 2025.

“We could not be more grateful for the incredible support of corporate partners like 7-Eleven, Inc., who year in and year out, amaze us with their passion for our cause,” said Aimee J. Daily, Ph.D. President and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Together with their customers, franchisees, vendors, and employees, the impact of their fundraising efforts is helping us change kids’ health to change the future.”

Since 1991, 7-Eleven, Inc. has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to raise nearly $190 million for local member hospitals.
