7-ELEVEN, SPEEDWAY AND STRIPES STORES RAISE MORE THAN $17 MILLION FOR CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS IN 2024
Funds Help Ensure Every Child Has the Opportunity to Reach Their Full Potential
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (Jan. 27, 2025) — Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is pleased to share that 7-Eleven, Inc. raised more than $17 million in 2024 to support 112 local member children’s hospitals across the country. Thanks to the generosity of 7-Eleven®, Speedway® and Stripes® stores’ customers, Franchise Owners, vendors, suppliers and employees, funds raised will help advance pediatric healthcare to ensure every child in need throughout the retailer’s local communities has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Funds raised by 7-Eleven, Inc. were the result of a year-round in-store fundraising campaign at participating Speedway stores, as well as two additional in-store fundraising campaigns over the spring and holiday seasons at participating 7-Eleven and Stripes stores. Additionally, more than $3 million in funding was raised from the 33rd Annual Miracle Tournament and Celebration Dinner held in Enon, Ohio in July.
“At 7-Eleven, Inc., supporting youth is at the heart of our commitment to building thriving communities,” said Marissa Jarratt, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer for 7-Eleven. “Through our in-store fundraising efforts and the contributions of our customers and communities, we’re thankful to have raised more than $17 million to help children and families who rely on Children Miracle Network Hospitals for care and support.”
Funds raised through the campaign advance pediatric healthcare by providing critical lifesaving treatments and equipment, innovative research, and financial assistance for families at member hospitals across the country. Consider 11-year old Ella. Born at just 27 weeks, she was diagnosed with fetal growth restriction that showed she was not growing at a normal rate. She later suffered a brain bleed and was subsequently diagnosed with periventricular leukomalacia (PVL), a softening of brain tissue. PVL has no cure and affects the nerve cells that control motor movements. After spending her first four months of life in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), she was finally able to come home. She continued to receive therapy services to help her stay strong and thrive, working with a specialist at St. Louis Children’s.
At two years old, Ella was approved for selective dorsal rhizotomy, a minimally invasive spinal surgery that can help children with cerebral palsy walk independently. While recovering from surgery, Ella was able to enjoy many activities at the hospital that helped her still feel like a kid, such as time in the playroom as well as visits from therapy dogs. Today, she continues to receive weekly physical, speech, and occupational therapies and participates in dance class formed by St. Louis Children’s for kids with movement disorders.
Ella represents one of millions of pediatric patients receiving best-in-class life-saving care from member children’s hospitals, thanks to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising partners like 7-Eleven, Inc.
“We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of 7-Eleven, Inc. customers, Franchise Owners, vendors and employees,” shares Aimee J. Daily, Ph.D., President & CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Their dedication to children’s health in local communities is truly inspiring. Thanks to their generosity, children’s hospitals can continue to provide life-saving care, cutting-edge research, and essential support services to children across the nation. We are excited to continue this impactful partnership in 2025 and beyond.”
In 2025, stores across the 7-Eleven family of brands will continue to invite customers to give back to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals with an in-store fundraising campaign in Speedway® stores year-round, along with in-store fundraising campaigns in 7-Eleven® and Stripes® stores from June 25, 2025-Aug. 26, 2025 and Oct. 29, 2025-Jan. 6, 2026. Most importantly, every dollar raised will remain local, directly benefiting the store’s local children’s hospital.
Since 1991, 7-Eleven, Inc. has raised more than $200 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
